How could this happen? Why did this happen? Because...this is completely shady. Can we really believe this is just some random incident considering the handling of the whole situation (as seen on the news and other media)? There are plenty of questions about this tragedy that should demand answers! Why? Why were there classes in session at the time of the second round of shootings? How was this person able to do such a thing earlier in the morning and return 2 hours after, seemingly with out security/police sweeping the campus? without almost anyone having been notified? a "technical school" doesn't have the technology to get the word out within 2 hours that something terrible has happened, that there is potential danger? The officials were too shaken and startled to consider closing campus, cancelling classes, etc. in that time? Pleeease! All we can gather is what we're told, and that shouldn't be good enough. It does NOT make sense. Any of it. I COMPLETELY share your anger, I hope it will catch on. This is not just sad, and tragic, it is an outrage for plenty of reasons. It is not something that couldn't have been prevented.

There is alot about this massacre that we dont know about. The last thing we need is people like you, no offense, that dont understand so they start to blame. First off, Virginia Tech is a huge campus and there are over 25,00 students plus teachers that attend this school. Not to mention it is laid on 2,600 acres of land and has an airport. It would have been impossible to have shut the whole school down in that amount of time. The only way to have gotten everyone to know to leave the school would have been to make an announcement, which then would have given the gunman a heads up, which would have put the whole school at risk. Second, although the gunman did write stories that were violent, there was no way an arrest could have been made on those accounts. Before you start accusing the school systems or the police, you need to make sure you know exactly what you're talking about and have all the facts of the incident, which you dont cause nobody does. Im sorry but im justbeing honest. And i am deeply sorry for all this happening and give my condolences to all the victims and people affected by this.

"such extremely some capturing"? Yeah, because contained in the most suitable ten years there have been like a pair college shootings (Virgina Tech and Columbine). Out of each of the faculties contained in the international, it truly is "a lot". And that's possibly young ones who were given the guns from their hardcore republican dad and mom' gun sequence. And in basic terms because you need to no longer get into college would not recommend you're able to bypass and close them down for persons that've the favor to make something of themselves.

i completely agree with u. i was shcocked to find out that all they did was send emails that most of the students didn't get. After the shooting, the cops took even longer to get to the scene. i mean if they couldn't prevent the first shooting, which i think they could have, they most certainly could have prevented the second one. 33 people died because they wouldn't listen to the bomb threats and didn't notify the kids sooner. it is a tragedy that i think should have been prevented. all of those kids will be in my prayers.

I totally agree. How can two people get murdered at your school and no one even knows about it? What did they just expect the students to go home and hear about it on the news? I would be completely outraged if I was one of the friends or family members...it could have been prevented forsure.

Hi. This whole event is awful beyond any human comprehension. The problem is that in our open society you cannot be held responsible for what you MIGHT do, only what you DID do. And in this case, as countless others, it was too late. My sympathy is out to all affected.

I COMPLETELY, COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU!! They had all the signs there and still did nothing. We can't take things to lightly anymore. I have been reading online about the VT massacre and there were so many redflags and I can't understand how no one could have done anything to get this man help.
