Spend your life with someone for companionship if you are not in love with them?

You can be wonderful friends and not in love. If the relationship was platonic, a lot of stresses that exist in a romantic relationship are not present, so it would probably be a very good situation. However, you would have to leave some options for a romantic, loving part to your life.

No Way. What is life without love or being in love...at least once. Companionship is something that you get from a pet or your gay best friend.

to me, "in love" means infatuation. i believe you can love someone without being in love with them... i also believe after being married for a while the "in love" part disappears but you still love the person. you could even go through phases where youre in love with the person again at a different point of time.

i guess im just trying to say that yes i could. would i want to? no. i dont plan on getting married until im like 30

Probably not... I don't think I could spend my life with someone even if I was in love with them.

No. I would be miserable. I have heard that if you can't be with the one you love, then love the one you're with, but I don't think that's possible.
