If he had stormed in there with a knife, they would have been able to stop him before he had killed 32 people. Think about it.

you mean people with guns kill people,I'm not saying I want guns banned but you have to admit you can kill way more people with a gun in a shorter amount of time. If the V. Tech shooter had been using a kitchen knife do you really think he would have been able to kill the amount of people he did? If he went into a classroom with a knife he would have been overpowered by the students before he had a chance to kill that many people if any

It's all about politics. Its not that people want to ban guns because of an incident, it's that people want to use the murder of innocent people to advance their agenda to strip Americans of their rights, starting with the right to bear arms.
In the Virgina Tech murders the man responsible broke many many gun laws. He didn't care about the laws.
Passing more gun laws or restricting gun owner rights will have no effect on criminals using guns for evil. It would only make law abiding citizens easy targets for the criminals with guns.
The best way to prevent gun crimes is to really punish the criminals instead of what happens now, the criminal gets arrested for a gun crime then is let go the next day.
If more states allowed concealed carry and more people carried the criminals would think twice before attacking a possible victim

Maybe the authorities think that when a person has a gun he can easily resort to violence when confronted with a situation. Whereas if he is not armed his first thought is to avoid trouble. The person is more cool and calm without gun that with a gun.

Look at what has happen to England and Australia when they sign th UN gun ban. Crime rate soared, a person can not protect their families or their self. Australia even banned knives, come on think about it. Read the 2ND Amendment. Criminals will always have guns so why not keep it even and let law abiding citizens have them as well.

It's our politicians. They have an obsession with civilian disarmament. They have become afraid of the American people. Why is that? What have they done?
Their lackeys in mainstream media continue to produce anti-gun propaganda for their masters. It's interesting to note that the NRA registered as a lobby. That's actually pretty funny. Having to register as a lobby to protect a Constitutional Right.
It's the media that are trying to change the law. The media (TV and radio stations, news magazines and papers) are the ones who should be registered as lobbyists.
The Second Amendment is the Right that guarantees all the rest. Self defense is a God-given right. If we ever lost that right, it's all over!

It is a "master plan". Disarm the people of a nation and the people HAVE to do as they are told. Under the "master plan", when the USA is disarmed, the UN (foreign military forces) will move in and take total control. Immediately behind that will come "One World Order".....ALL private weapons will have already been confiscated so there will be NO resistance. I won't see it but you youngsters will. Far fetched??
What did Abe Lincoln say?
"IF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS EVER DESTROYED......IT WILL BE FROM WITHIN."
We now have a Muslim in Congress, that was sworn in with his hand on the Koran (instead of the Bible) and a Muslim trained and groomed person running for president.

Guns are good as long as they're protecting, not hurting. For some reason people think that if every gun on the world disappeared the world would be a better place. I believe people would use a wooden spoon to kill someone if they had too. All we can do is ban killing.

good question, here is my thought, as far as the recent campus shooting goes, if one or more of the other students were able to carry a gun for self protection, the number of dead at the school would have been easily cut in half because someone would have taken him out, and thats what I think should happen because as it stands the law abiding people can not carry or conceal a gun without going through very long approval processes if the state they live in even allows concealed carry at all, yet the non-law abiding people will continue to carry guns, because they dont care, makes me feel alittle less safe, I dont know about you.

people have been killing each other since recorded time. We will continue to kill each other, it's just how it is unfortunately. Kane and Abel did it in the bible and the weapons might evolve but the intention is still the same. Human Nature

Unfortunately they do it with guns. Baseball bats people stand a chance against.
Guns they don't.
What is a pistol for?
It has only one use.
The only reason for target practice is to get ready to shoot somebody. Maybe you.
Phil, the fact is that 33 lives did not go on.
I am not even adding those who have been very seriously wounded.
