Good question. But do you really want guns in the hands of KIDS that are learning how to becomes adults while dealing with college stress?
Maybe, but hindsight is always 20/20

No he would not have killed nearly as many people. Firing a weapon at close range takes very little skill, and when you are armed in a room with one or two doors coming in, the guy trying to come in the doors is at an extreme disadvantage.
If you close your eyes and imagine that you are one of 15 targets in a room with one or two doors, and that you are the only one armed, and the shooter has to come through one of the doors in order to shoot his victims, you can understand the advantage. He has 15 targets, you only have one.

Best not to assume they would have had time, unless everyone in the classroom had a weapon, you could not be sure that the first ones shot when he swept the room wouldn't have been the ones carrying. Even under the best of circumstances (not an automatic, no one in shock) it would have required a highly trained (as in special forces) response... how many ex-SEALS attend VT...? Most 20 year old kids would have froze. More guns would not have stopped this.

definitely! One capturing, a danger of a capturing, some weapons or a gun discovered on the campus, close it down. seems severe yet while it says even only one existence, do it. recently who is conscious what can take place if we fake like the priority isn't a super deal! i ask your self how those officers are feeling understanding that they'd have probably prevented the 2d and or added capturing.

Perhaps all guns should be implanted with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) rather than CCW law allowed. Traceable Guns in US.

You can already get CCW permits in Virginia. Private buildings can ban them from being brought inside though.

Probably not. There would still have to be someone who was ready, willing and able in the right place at the right time. Still, it certainly couldn't have hurt.
