Depends on the major. My experience is that social science and natural science bachelors are usually completed in 4 years, although many students could graduate in 3.5. They normally don't do so because they want to be with friends. Majors in Engineering and some humanities like Art take about 5 years to finish. Why does art take long? According to people I know it is because you need to have the spark of creativity, and to try to take the typical amount of units will only result in you getting lower grades as art is very demanding.
My personal experience is that I graduated from University with a double major in Sociology and Psychobiology in 3 years + one 6 week summer session. The truth is that I was resourceful in finding courses that overlapped, and I took the maximum of Credit/No Credit units as I could.

usually it take you 4 years. in Some universities they provide an orientation year to prepare the students from the major courses in their study, so toal 5 years.
Another factor, if after high school it should finish within this period. But, while working in a company and doing courses at the same time, it may take you up to 7 years. In fact, it vary from one place to another and depends on the type and load of the courses credit.
Good Luck.

I got my AA first, and that took 2 years.
Now, I'm going to a 4 year college to finish off my last two years.
Now, don't let people fool you. It takes 4 years to get your BA WITHOUT a minor! If you want a minor, you will probably be in school 5 years.
Just thought you should know!

It's a four year program; if you go to summer session each year, you can finish in 3 years.
