it was a horrific time when whites used to make fun of blacks by painting their face black and act like bafoons on stage, because that is what they thought of us. Kind of like some of the idiots on yahoo! answers now. Thats right we know who you are-and yes racist people I already know you think its funny, but what about all the regular normal people?

White people were just plan ignorant! Nothing we can do to change the past, but we can try to alter the future in a positive way by what we do today.
The black face is a part of history. It a part of today because this is how a lot of people view blacks today. Or want black people to behave just so they can say Blacks are less than human. To feel a comfort of relief that blacks aren't a threat to their success. The feeling of wanting to be the superior, and to compete with a black person wouldn't end in failure.
If it came to a one on one competition, they would realize that they couldn't win against a black man. White people just want to feel superior, and if you was to take it away they turn into KKK. Trying to destroy all evidence of their failure. Putting out a image that black people are ignorant but every one know white people are the biggest liar and criminals of the past, present, and future.

I honestly think it's ridiculious, I won't lie I think it's funny sometimes cuz they think they're actually talking like black/hispanic folk and you have to laugh before you insult them. ie the ones that you've seemed to attract here are obviously going through some things in their life. But I just imagine a bunch of hideously ugly pimpled faced people who got rejected so many times by the groups they purport to hate & so turn it into this idiocracy.
BTW not funny, never is & never will be ever.
Watch Bamboozled and used to watch those old cartoons with the african kid with the big lips/ol school loony tunes & still don't find it funny.

I must admit that when I was a very young child I thought it was funny. Then I gained full awareness of race, and I found the black face skits tasteless and degrading. Not only that, I also found the portrayal of minorities in " old movies" to be demeaning. I am not a fan of this type of entertainment, nor can I believe how it was widely accepted.

You can't say anything to ignorant people. I can't tell if their really scared of us or really hate us. Who cares, black people just need to stop letting them put us down. But it's not just white people other races think their above us as well. Don't be fooled. But there are white people who are turned off by their peers racist views and their ancestors past. I don't understand why everyone cant just respect each other.
