I will assume that you mean for English:
Merriam-Webster's Unabridged dictionary has "over 470,000 entries."
The one from Random House has "over 315,000 entries."
However, there are many different dictionaries, so there really can't be one exact answer for this question. English is one of those languages that is ever evolving, and there will never be a definitive and complete dictionary. And even if there could be one, no one would agree on which one was the definitive one.
The closest thing you'll find to a complete dictionary is the Oxford English Dictionary. According to Wikipedia (linked below):
As of 30 November 2005 OED [Oxford English Dictionary] included about 301,100 main entries, comprising over 350 million printed characters. In addition to the headwords of main entries, it contains 157,000 combinations and derivatives in bold type, and 169,000 phrases and combinations in bold italic type, making a total of 616,500 word-forms. There are 137,000 pronunciations, 249,300 etymologies, 577,000 cross-references, and 2,412,400 illustrative quotations. The latest complete printed version of the dictionary (Second Edition, 1989) contained 21,730 pages, with 291,500 entries.
That's right. 21,730 pages. It has few words than the M-W version, but you don't get much more complete than the Oxford Dictionary.

Are you talking about an ENGLISH unabridged dictionary? No dictionary has EVERY word in a language. English has more words than any other language though. I would estimate an unabridged dictionary has about 300,000-400,000 words (defined)

Unabrige? Do you mean 'unabridged,' perhaps? Which company or publisher's dictionary? And of which language? There is no possible answer to your question as written, except to ask for further clarity.
Instead of asking that question, go to Wikipedia -- or even to Google -- and search for the number of words in the ____________ language. That'll get you a much better and more accurate answer than asking for people's opinions about it here. Go to the correct source for your information, if you want correct information. Otherwise, all you're getting is hearsay.

There are approximately one million words of English. Dictionaries include only a small fraction of that, each dictionary including different numbers. The Oxford English Dictionary includes aprroximately 210,000 words:
