Why are people so uptight? Not everything is made to be serious, life's too short, live it up already!

Because sometimes when i pull a prank at you, you would also not appreciate it. If a person overreacts and get all too uptight, you should consider their feelings as well, cos maybe they dont want to be messed around .We have to accept that they dont have a sense of humor. Sometimes u have your downtime and you probably dislike some stuff people do and wish people would understand. Sometimes it happens cos one is pushed over the edge too many times. I have a HEALTHY sense of humor and would not like to hear nasty jokes and life and death stuff and relationships. Can u take that?

They are afraid that someone might be trying to belittle them and make them look stupid so they try to explain the obvious and prove they are not so dumb...instead they end up proving the opposite.
It might be because sarcasm is hard to accomplish on the computer, so they actually think you are being serious.
You're right life is too short to spend time valuable time explaining things to stupid people, so just ignore it. Either they get it or they don't.

You go girl. Ilike your spirit. the only thing I can gather some people don't have a sense of humor, or it is not their day. which I know sometimes depending on the mood I'm in. I can't take a joke. or other times I joke along with them.

Some things are not funny, they hurt. How would like you child to be humiliated for no reason except that someone thinks calling them names is funny. I love a good joke, heck I like bad jokes, but I never want to hurt someone.

Cause can u imagine how the worl would be if we were all the same I could take a joke or two it just depends how it is, I hate sacasm and sarcastic ppl!

I don't know, but I've noticed it too. I have a very saracastic sense of humor, and people should know by now when I'm joking and when I'm not, but they don't, and they get all uptight about it...
It's like, what crawled up their butt and died?

Some people take life to seroiusly and don't want to have fun or joke around and they have no sense of humor. I for one have one and I don't take life serouisly. Like you said Life is short and I agree.

Most people,like always,dont have a sense of humor.They just dont believe in taking Jokes as funny things,they take it seirously.A joke is used to amuse people,not threaten people.That,what I believe,is why most people hate jokes.
