It varies with everyone. I used no birth control and my children are 26,17 and 10. The first one I got pregnant the 1st time. I got pregnant again 3 years later and had a miscarriage. The next two took a while longer. Good luck, don't stress and have fun practicing until you get it right.

well, it depends on if you were on birth control and how long you were on birth control for.
Birth control can delay a women from getting pregnant right away.
If you were on it for 3 or more years then it might take you up to 6 months to get pregnant.
If you and your husband are really fertile and he has good swimmers then it can take as short as 1-2 months for it to happen.
The best time to have sex is a week before you period starts and the week after your period.
Good luck.

Just try lots, and if you know when you ovulate (approximately) try more around that time and your chances should increase... If you're trying for around a year and still haven't conceived, definitely go consult your doctor.

If you want to tell if you're ovulating, I believe if you start checking your temperature daily (around the same time each day) when your temperature goes up a little (I don't think there's a huge change, there are special thermometers for this) it's likely you're ovulating.. If you keep track of this for a couple months, you should be able to fairly accurately predict when you're going to ovulate. If you want to learn more about this try googling FAM (fertility awareness method) and you should be able to find lots on it...

It can take up to a year to get the timing right. Just think this way every month you have a 50/50 chance of becoming pregnant.

i comprehend i individually introduced AT 40 weeks (on my due date) two times, and *probably* at 40-one weeks with the 0.33 (i grow to be solely breastfeeding as quickly as we conceived, so the dates might have been a week off, making her a 40-week transport nonetheless). ;) on the different hand, an intensive pal with 4 babies has continually introduced between 37 and 38 weeks. on no account making it to her "due date." :) it actually relies upon on the guy female's inherent "incubation era," relatively. For what that's properly worth, even although, that's quite no longer likely that many women human beings may be giving beginning "extra around 35 weeks," for the reason that many medical doctors and midwives nonetheless evaluate that to be borderline untimely, and could oftentimes attempt to end exertions earlier the 36-week mark. After that, even although, that's especially plenty as much as toddler. in certainty, many now provide you a "due week" -- or maybe weeks! -- quite than one specific day. ;)

About 25% of couples get pg in the first month. 60% get pg within 6 months, 75% get pg within 9 months, and 80% get pg by one year. 90% get pg by 18months. The average each month is you have about a 20% chance in any given cycle to get pg.
