What was the most popular dance at the time of your prom?

I graduated in 1980, that's a ways back Mooch !
I remember alot of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppling, David Bowie !
I really don't remember what the popular dance was then.
I do remember where and what I did after the prom though !

Yes there was dancing other than slow dancing at my senior prom. The most popular dance at my senior prom was discoesque. I graduated in 2000 but alot of couples came in disco gear for some reason.

In 1971, danced any way we wanted and in the dark too. Don't remember the name of most popular dance but one of the songs was Jerimiah Was a Bullfrog. Am married to prom date.

It was in the late 80's, we just danced.
And yes, I went, but I went alone and hung out with my friends. Sassy was very independent (even then)and between boyfriends. I was the scandal of the school for going "stag," but I was not about to miss my senior prom just because I didn't have a boyfriend on my arm.

I didn't go to my senior prom :( cause well junior prom was like the furthest thing from fun!

I don't know the name of the dance, but its the one Molly Ringwald did in "The Breakfast Club" in the '80's.

no prom
it was an alternative High School
we had a reggea dance instead, about 50 of us got naked and swam inthe river
I left for college instead of my senior year

senior prom was not fun, took a date...jr prom was a blast, went w/ a bunch of my g/f's.
