Plain yogurt makes a good, soothing mask. You can add some ground oatmeal for a little extra exfoliation and honey for a little moisture.

Mashed avocado or banana with a tsp. of honey make a good moisturizing mask.

Plain whipped egg white will help tighten pores.

You can use plain Milk of Magnesia to absorb oil and tighten pores. Just put a thin layer on and let it dry for 10-30 mins. before rinsing off w/ warm water. I prefer this mask over beaten egg whites.

Or you can crush up 6 plain, uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it w/ a little water to make mask.

Or use one of these variations to make a cleanser or mask:

Mixture: 6 crushed aspirins, mixed with the liquid facial cleanser at hand (I usually use either cetaphil or tersaseptic), and 1-2 drops of tea tree oil.

Mix half a teaspoon of crushed tablets with Queen Helene Mint Julep mask and aloe vera gel.

Held 6 aspirin in my palm, and slowly dripped water onto them until they fizzled and dissolved! Once dissolved, I added 2-3 drops of honey into it and mixed it around with my finger. Applied to my face. Keep it on 15-20 mins.

Mix 6 aspirin tablets with a little aloe to make a mask.

Use about 6 uncoated tablets, witch hazel, tee trea oil, and aloe to make a thin paste.

For toner:
8 ounce bottle of distilled water add four uncoated aspirin
or
mix of 1/2 water, 1/2 witch hazel, 15 aspirin, and 2 drops of tea tree essential oil and 2 drops of rosemary essential oil

As for dark circles, try a cream w/ vitamin K, avoid salt, sleep w/ your head elevated & get at least 7-8 hours of sleep/night.

If you still need something extra, see a dermatologist. Retin-A is by prescription only and it helps promote cell turnover and collagen production.

Get enough rest and stay away from toxic people. I'm forty-two, and people never believe I'm that age until they see my adult son. Getting rest and eating healthy and drinking lots of water is vital. I like Noxzema and Neutrogena products and Ponds products. Whole milk is a great exfoliater to use on your skin. Use it in your bath. A cup will do fine.

The dark circles will dissipate when you can manage to take a vacation for at least ten days and rest, even if your vacation is staying in and doing nothing for ten days. Some people do too much to their skin. I don't think you need to use everything that is being sold in department stores.

Just take your time and read labels when you go to the store while shopping for products. Don't be in a hurry. By the best you can afford. Keep your fingernails off your face.

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

Actually you can use mineral makeup because it's less harmful to skin and apply a primer before putting your makeup on. I currently love Bare Escentuals and you can check out the list of items I use and my reviews in source 1.

For natural at home recipes, you can check out source 2, it has a collection and you can pick something to suit your skin.
