Immediately upon signing an agreement with the company you are considered a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. You are then able to purchase products from the company at wholesale price and then sell it at retail (double what you paid for it). You can sell product by doing facials, or having your customers place orders either from a product catalog or from an online website that you are able to have set up. If you choose to build your team by recruiting other consultants you are eligible to become a Sales Director. You need to take your team of 8 and build that to a team of 30 plus maintain a certain amount of monthly production. Sales Directors also sell product etc. but are also responsible for their Unit and helping new consultants get started etc.

The biggest thing the directors do is manage their salespeople, or Beauty Consultants. The day you start, you are a Beauty Consultant. To become a director, you must have a certain number of people working for you (I think either 10 or 12) and a minimum sales level (I don't know the exact numbers sorry).
There are several levels of directorship including Sales Director, Regional Sales Director, and National Sales director.
Once you reach the diretor levels you will also receive a commission from your beauty consultants direct sales (2-10%, depending on your level and their production).

A lot of people make a lot of money selling MK products.

If you are thinking about selling MK, just go online and search for consultants in your area. There are thousands of consultants in at least a dozen countries that will help you out.

Good Luck

beauty consultant is the person who SELL'S you the product and makes you 'up'...tells you what you 'need' to buy....

sales director makes sure all her 'women/girls' are keeping up in sales...some may sell more than others, some may need more 'help' with their selling...
