I keep reading all these post about how great he is. Do you agree? and if you do, why?
It couldn't be is voice, it's okay, but just okay, nothing more.
Is it a package deal or what?
Is it cause he usually does that hip-hop thing, sorry don't know what they call it, when you make sounds. Cause that really gets on my nerves.

I don't get the Chris thing either. However, I think Phil, with some proper coaching could be very awesome.

oh thank you, thank you, thank you!! I though it was just me!!!! I think he has a mediocre voice, and HOT???? Please! What is hot about a skinny little white boy with spikey hair and a pointy nose who dresses like he shops at the salvation army?

Blake is popular because he is modern. Think about the popular bands right now (in the teens-20s age group, who tend to buy the most records); Good Charlotte, Green Day, All-American Rejects, Maroon 5, Augustana, Fall Out Boy, etc. He falls right into the modern rock phase that is so popular right now...
Phil Stacey reminds me of the singers like Bryan Adams, Sting, Phil Collins...the guys that can really sing!

He's different. The look, the clothes ( the white member of Outcast???), the tattoos (though he seems to have to cover them up for the show:( ). He's funny (I love the Jimmy walker Blue skit. That was hilarious). He's fun to watch and i like his singing and i, personally, think the beatboxing is kind of a breath of fresh air for the show (he is one of the best beatboxers i've ever heard). I mean, maybe he doesn't have a voice like Clay Aiken or Constantine Maroulis and isn't as cool as Bo Bice or Chris Daughtry, but he's interesting and he is the best male contestant this season
( since Sundance Head's premature exit, anyway). And at least he's not Sanjaya...

He's cute and his voice isn't the most awesome ever, but he's consistent. A common theme this season is how people started off great but are starting to do worse and are picking "safe" songs. He's been consistently good and picked awesome songs.
I don't get the Phil thing or the Chris thing, so there ya go.

I like Blake, I think hes one of the more creative contestants there. He just stands out, & adds his own flavor onto everything he does. Though I do agree the beat boxing can get annoying at times. I think he's a far better recording artist than a live performer, his studio recordings are amazing IMO. I don't know why, but he reminds me of a modern day Sting kind of :|. I don't find him "hot", he's cute.

It can be annoying sometimes but he's different from all the American Idol contestants since AI began. He's a different genre and he's charismatic and looks nice. It would be nice if he at least got to the top 5. He deserves to be there. We need someone new unlike the good voices or lack thereof (i.e. Sanjaya). Blake is a good fit.

You're right. It isn't his singing. Like some people admit, even Simon, they say, "This isn't a singing competition anymore". After seeing Sanjaya with all this new hairstyle every week, he isn't even voted off. He can't sing good like the others anymore, but he's still there because of his hair. Blake seems to be the same too. I don't know but that's what I heard.

I think he is awesome! I know he will not be the winner, but even if he leaves, he will get some kind of record deal!! He has that hip hop sort of style but he sings also!

It is a sex thing.
The girls hated Haley because she used sex to get votes.
Meanwhile they love Chris and Blake because they find them sexy.
It is a double standard.
He can sing. In fact he sounds a little like Sting at times but he needs to stay in his range and stop trying to change everything to fit his desires.
He has had better performances than tonight.

Blake isnt my favorite, either. Young kids love him. All my votes go out to Malinda. She was awesome tonight as usual.Lakisha didnt do bad with her song, either.I love "Jesus take the wheel" Sanjaya absolutely sucked!!!
