I'm currently working 7 days in a row (Monday-Sunday) and thought that the California law was that you were only allowed to work 6 days in a row, but my managers told me it doesn't count because this Sunday would mark a new week. That seems fishy to me because regardless of what week it is I'm still working seven days straight. Please let me know who is right...

California law states, that if you would 7 days straight the 8th day through the 12th day is time and a half until you get a day off. Day 13 -? is double until you get a day off. I have been in HR for over 5 yrs, and that is what california labor law is. If you still have problems with your employer, file a complaint with the California Labor Commission in your City. Here is the link to find your local office. http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/Cal-CitiesB.asp.

Hope this helps.

I'm going to also say no such law exist either. I drive trains and am subject to hours of service laws, however I have worked up to 30 days in a row in California and other states as well.
