A charge from this "merchant" appears on my credit card bill. Am I being scammed?

sounds suspicious, although I've noticed that some merchants I use a card with have the charges come in under a different 'parent'(?) name. Did you use the card that day or sometime within a few days before? It's pretty common for people like hotel desk clerks and such to take and sell credit card info that then gets used a lot before it's detected. Doesn't even get investigated any more, for the most part. It's a free crime, apparently, because the cost gets spread around on all of us so the banks don't care..
Good luck, and if you're not sure, it's probably better to kill the card and get a replacement.

Searched all over the internet and couldn't find that name. File a Dispute of the charge with your credit card company.

I've never heard of them. Contact your credit card company and let them know this is not an authorized charge. They'll give you a refund.
