1. If you are buying it from a Gucci store or high-end department store...it is real. If you are getting it from most anywhere else...it is fake.

2. LV never goes on sale and Gucci goes to outlet stores. The sale price will be no more than 50% off retail. If it is any less...it is fake.

3. A genuine designer purse will come with a dust bag, authenticity card and in a box with logo tissue paper. If any one of these items is missing...it is a fake.

4. Authentic Gucci and LV bags do NOT have any tags attached to them. If there is any tag...besides the store price tag...it is fake.

5. An authentic Gucci dust bag is a brown logo satin sac and the authenticity card is white with gray writing. If the dust bag and authenticity card are white with green writing...it is fake.

6. All the GG and LV logos should meet the seams perfectly. You will find no double stitching, loose threads or irregular designs. If you do...it is fake.

7. All leather should be real and the canvas thick and sturdy. If the leather is plastic and the canvas is thin...it is fake.

8. All genuine bag have a serial number on the inside, (most fakes do too). If there is no serial number...it is fake.

9. All irregular designer bags are destroyed to maintain the reputation of the design house. If anyone tells you the bag is cheap because it is irregular...they are lying.

10. All authentic bags have a 30-day return policy. It the merchant does not honor returns...it is fake

You could start by looking at the price tag and the location it is being sold. If the price tag is so low that you can't believe it (tens of dollars instead of hundreds or thousands) that is the first clue. The other big clue is that if it being sold by a guy standing with a table on a downtown street corner rather than in an overpriced mall store, then it might not really be genuine.

I think most people who buy counterfeits know the difference - they just are happy to get a counterfeit look-alike at a price
they can afford.

Have fun with your skool project.

Check the color on the inside. is it a creamy tannish-brown or something else? If it's the taupe, then it's real. Another way: Does it have a kind of stamp-thing on the inside, with a name on it? If not, then it's fake. If it does, double check--does Mosieur Louis Vuitton spell his name with one T or two? One, obviously, is fake. Another way: On the outside, the signature intitial thingy: Is the L on top of the V? Or is it a V with the top stick of the L in the middle? If the V is on top, it's real. I'm sorry, that's the only things I can remember from what my Uncle Karl told me. Also, fake Burberry pusers have four stripes, and real ones have three. Just for the record. XD.

My friend have noticed this amazing outlet store and then got one there. Not really awesome upon their shipment speed but does save approximately 72% and very happy to have this discount. The quality is truly fine and also until now never find any defects.

first: where are you buying it. is it an upscale store like bloomingdales, nordstrums.... or is it a street corner.
second : look for misspelled words. its a total give away
third: inspect how its made. is the zipper on the outside? the bag constructed well? is it falling apart?

If nobody can tell, why does it matter? Go for the fake.
