won't it just heat it up really fast? please only experts...

That will heat it quite quickly, in fact maybe too quickly for the fish to be comfortable. Other than that the only risk would be if the heater got stuck in the on position it would over heat the tank very quickly.

The only stupid question is the one you don't ask and wish you had later.

It will heat up fast and then it will cycle on and off a lot. The switch inside can only go on and off so many times. You will wear the heater out fast and most likely it will fail in the on mode and then boil your fish in a few hours.

that will heat it quickly, but u could get a 100 watt heater instead of a 150watt. if its got a thermostat on it, then you could use the 150 watt. but i would just get a 100 watt, to save some $.
