There are AC and DC LEDs. If you are looking for ones to run off a car battery, then you want to look for ones that are 12DC.

Sure can! BUT. Only one battery please. I used to love playing with LED's when I was a kid. I broke them all using more than one battery. One AA will do.

OF course. They don't take much to light them, that is why they are used on cars and motorcycles, because they are brighter, last longer and have less drain.!!
