I need some sand, I called my local nursery. They said that 1 cubic yard of sand would cost me $25.00. But I don't know exactly how much 1 cubic yard is. They said it would fit into my pickup truck, a chevy silverado. If I knew how many pounds, then I,d know for sure if the sand would fit in my truck. Other wise I'll have to pay for delivery. Hope someone can help, Thanks

one cubic yard of sand has a weight of 2400-2700 pounds, depending on the size of the sand particle. Unless your truck is rated for more than a ton, stick to two loads of 1/2 yard each.

I work in a hardware store, just as an introduction. So I am cheating because I know the "rule of thumb" that has all the other factors in it like density and stuff. Quickcrete (TM) says that an 80lb. bag of premixed concrete will do 2/3 of a cubic foot. There are 27 cubic feet per cubic yard, so it takes about 40 80lb. bags per cubic yard (at a hardware store they just say "yard" and mean cubic yard). One bag does one two foot deep fence post, not that anyone asked.

Depending on the moisture content a cubic yard of sand will weigh around 3,000 pounds. The chevy should do it ok. You can have them slowly dump the sand into your truck and you can stop them if it seems to be too much. A cubic yard is 3 feet on all sides. It will fit into the truck if it is not too heavy.

sand is very heavy. a cubic yard will squish a standard pick-up. the weight would be aprox 2,900 lbs. try going to a local gravel pit if there is one near by they often give sand away (u-haul) as it is kind of a waste product from gravel mining.

You need to exercise.. if your not overweight.. if your underweight as you say.. then your muscle need to be toned. and the only way to tone your muscles is exercise. try something like yoga or pilates, or speed walking.
As for eating. I dont' know what you are eating now. but stick to healthy things and avoid foods that will just add fat to your body..
