I think I'm going to have to convert this to spherical coordinates (like, p² = z²+y²+z², right?)

That´OK but rho^2 = x^2+y^2+z^2
x=r cos a.cos b
y=r cos a sin b
z= r sin a
so xyz= r^3 (cos^2a*sina*sinb*cosb)
soI xyxI /r^2 As r=>0 the limit is 0 as it does not depend on any angle
