The rich build their fortunes on the backs of the poor. People could take care of themselves better if they were paid a living wage instead of being used to fatten the elite's bank accounts. I'm sure that they need a new vacation home or private plane more than working people need food, medical care, and shelter, though.
I find it extremely odd when struggling people defend the rich. But we are taught to admire them and hope to be like them. You know, just in case we ever become rich we want to keep it all for ourselves too. But few are intended to make it there. I wish you well in paying off your loans. But should you really have to work all the time and pay high interest rates for years and years while the rich laugh and sit back and collect the interest? Oh yeah, one more thing. You can not afford to make any mistakes or you will be ruined for life. When the rich make mistakes all they have to do is throw some money around and everything will be all right for them. But is it because they earned this privilege, or because of people like you and me who struggle to earn their privileges for them? Who is really taking care of whom?

The Democrats believe that taxation should be applied equitably. There should not be tax loopholes the rich can get that the middle class can't.
It was rich Democrats that lifted us out of the great depression and established the rules that lifted us out of those dark days and made us the greatest nation on earth.
The Democrats believe that if weakest among us has opportunitees equal to that of the strongest, then we all benefit.
It was the Democrats that won World Wars I & II and paid off the war debt in 20 years.
It was the Democrats that created the GI Bill that allowed the baby boombers to get educated, evision and create the great modern American society that is the envy of the world.
The fact is there are far more supposed conservatives that are drunk, lazy, fat and think society done them wrong and deserve food stamps and welfare than there are poor innner city Democrats that get any of ther above.
The Republicans of today believe that they have the right to screw over any of the hard working men and women upon whose backs that make their riches they want.
It was the Democrats that created the society that enables anyone to earn their own silver spoons.
The Republicans of today are dismantling that society and the equal playing field that created it. Tax reform is good but not not at the expense of the fabric of our society, national unity and strength.
Get real sheeple, if you weren't born with a silver spoon in your mouth, these phonies want to keep you from getting it. So theirs can get bigger, on your backs.
And as for your student debt, before Reagan was president there were 30 cities this country that had free four year colleges for their residents. The tution at every state university in the nation had tutions that was 40% or less of the average family income in that state. Now it's one.
So do you want your chance at your own silver spoon back? Wise up. Stop watching Fox and take your country back and get rid of these scammers that are telling you lies.
It's not welfare that is bankrupting our government and us with debt, it that corporations now pay 3 percent or tax less on billions of dollars in profit.
It's not Medicare and Medicaid that causes our government to have to borrow billions from China and Japan every year to stay solvent. It's the billions in give back corporate welfare and oil, grain, military, bridge to nowhere subsidies and billions of dollars in World Bank, USOD givebacks of our taxes we give the richest corporations.
It's not the Democrats tax structure that encourages corportations to ship our jobs to China, India and Vietnam while real middle class taxes go up faster than the the cost of living.
It's not the Democrats economic policy that encourages family indebtedness instead of wage growth that keeps ahead of inflation instead of loosing ground against it.
So again wake up sheeple and see the GOP billionaire boys club for what it really is, a scam against us the American people. A scam to steal the dream that is our birthright...The American Dream.
They are almost done....wake up before it's too late.

Americans don't want the rich to take care of them; Americans are simply tired of taking care of the rich.
Corporate welfare (in the form of tax breaks, government grants, and special favors) is far more serious a sham in this country that the piddly little billions spent on welfare for the poor, the underprivileged, the disadvantaged, the sick, the homeless, the hungry, the elderly, and the under-educated.
The government gives the wealthy elitists and corporate America all kinds of special incentives that the poor don't enjoy. The middle-class pays through the nose so that the upper 1% of our society pays relatively little in taxes. The poor have no money, thus they have no power. Take away the wealthy people's money, and you'll have a society truly dedicated to the proposition that "all men are created equal". -RKO- 04/17/07

No, people can not take care of themselves. That is the absolute truth. Think about how many people you depend on each day. Literally thousands. Where would you be without electricity, medicine, automobiles, running water, food, clothing, many of the essentials of every day living. This is why people think the rich as well as the government should help with everything. Society is the child of the rich.

I sincerely feel sorry for people with student loans. I have friends who are taking out 40K per year. (Going to the University of Michigan isn't cheap). But I think many rich people choose to contribute to the betterment of society. I don't think they must, I don't really care whether they do or not, but that is because my financial situation is better than 99.9% of most Americans.
