Oh puleeeze..
Of course it justified it's use.. at least, for the US.. It was, in our opinion, better for thousands of the enemy to die, than for the thousands of our soldiers, sailors and airmen that might have died if we'd had to invade...
And, it also demonstrated the awesome devastation capable with the use of ONE bomb, as opposed to hundreds of them, and, thereby, pretty much kept the cold war from becoming a hot one.
