I don't think it's the root of all evil, although I think money should be kept in a balanced perspective.

No money can't be the root of all evil. It's the minds of the people who love it that are the root of the evil. They are the ones who choose to do evil acts for money and other reasons.

"The lack of money is the root of all evil" --George Bernard Shaw's take on it lol :P

I agree and disagree. I think money can help a lot of people, myself included. Most of my worries stem from not having money (I'm a student and need to pay my fees, etc). Money can be bad too, though... it's never good to become obsessed with anything.

I disagree. Many evil things have been done for many reasons. Think of all the things that have been done in the name of religion, love, etc. Many evil things have had nothing to do with money.

I love money by the way so I am biased.

Yes. My dad alll of a sudden 5 years ago got this obsession of money and since then has been positivly evil to me and my siblings. It's not even like we need the money. The world would be a lot better if people did things because they cared not just for money.

I don't know about ALL evil, but surely it is the root of much of my heartache. I love money. I mean, I actually have romantic feelings for money. I had this fling a while back with a five dollar bill. It was fun and exciting for a while, but then I got drunk one night and made the mistake of trading her away for a bag of pretzels and a Diet Coke. I've never forgiven myself.

I disagree. There aren't that many incidents happening by the means of money. For instance, the Virginia Tech shootings has to do with plain insanity and vengance. In the Mid-East, everything is about religion. Wars in Israel, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia and many others have to do with religion.

I love money, but not enough to do something ridiculous because of it...
