I always try to at least appreciate what they like. Right now, I'm pretty lucky in this regard because I actually like it ;)

You compromise. Music is a taste of love, and I'm sure he will like to listen to your type of music as long as you listen to what he likes.

my husband hates the music i listen to(r&b hip hop old skool stuff etc) and i hate what he likes (hindi music,well some of it not all)and we get along just fine,i just listen to what i like when he is not home or not around, or on my ipod...
