I'm currently 16 and am just curious what benefits membership can yield other than bragging-rights. Are there any good scholarships for college and/or can it strongly benefit a college resume? What other benefits are there?

I think it would be awesome to join Mensa. If you are that intelligent, just being able to talk with others who are as intelligent as you are would be wonderful. I am also rather intelligent, and it is nice to be able to carry on an intelligent conversation with someone else who is also intelligent.

YES!!
My dad is a Mensa member and I don't think it involves a whole lot of time commitment (if any) on your part.

He receives newsletters in the mail with interesting articles as well as contact info for other Mensa members in the area. Great networking for business opportunities. Also, I would suggest throwing it on your resume. Without sounding too boastful, maybe "National Mensa member April 2007 - present"

And congrats!

For more information about Mensa, visit their website at the link I have provided.

Mensa is a volunteer group that operates on the reciprocity principal. What you get out of it depends on what you put into it.

Hell yeah! It'll be something to hold over your dumb friends/kids heads for all eternity! Imagine the talk at the water cooler! "Hey, that guys in Mensa...I'm SO intimidated!
No really, that's pretty cool. Join, but don't gloat. I am secretly jealous.....

If you really tested into MENSA, shouldn't you be genius enough to be able to devise this answer on your own? Do you really need the help of all us non-genius types on the internet?
