what is the energy that drives atmospheres?

im working on a research paper and cant seem to find anything on that subject?...

The sun heats the ground and oceans, the air in contact with the heated surfaces expands and rises, the earth's rotation causes the rising air to curve, cyclones develop, etc, etc.

It is solar energy.
