Four years ago, when I turned 18 and graduated high school, I went on an impromptu cross country road trip with a girl friend.

One early Autumn day we rolled into a small "end of the road" town called Telluride. It literally is the end of the road. The Rocky Mountains must have proved inpenetrable because the asphalt just ends...

Anyhow, we had just come through the mythical mountains AFLAME with the colours of Fall, and as we roll down the main street in the small town, we see hand made signs in all the windows. "Welcome home Robert!" and "Dylan loves Telluride!". The streets were deserted, except for a few stragglers running in the direction of the baseball field. We parked my truck on a muddy dirt corner of the road and decided to see what was going on at the field.

To make a long story short, and to get to the glory of the story ---- we walked into a crowd of standing room only secret and unadvertised free concert crowd for BOB DYLAN.

So we spent one of the best nights of the trip at the feet of Bob Dylan, outdoors under the Colorado skies with purple thunder clouds slowly billowing over the mountain backdrop.

That is the best concert I have ever been to.

Green Day all the way!

On a side note, the strangest one I've been to was Barry Manilow (with the parents)...there were a ton of Fanilows in the audience (middle aged Manilow fanatics) and it was hilarious.
