I have been the man out making the money and left her stuck at home with two kids for 9 years now. Seems current daycare costs outweigh most typical jobs. I know it's very hard because your always trying to become part of his life but having to fit into his schedule. (we feel guilty about this). One thing we have worked out is college (only 2 or 3 classes a semester). The is plenty of grant money available (therre are also loans but I would avoid them if at all possible) Also, many colleges offer a daycare assistance program especially those that offer degrees in childcare itself. This doubly benefits her for when the kids start full time school together since she'll be able to start a daytime job in a position that she actually likes.

At least you know where he is. Be supportive of him, let him know how much you miss him, make sure the house is clean, and have a home cooked meal for him, in other words do your part, to have a happy home. You should not feel that you are stuck at home with your own kids. You need to thank God for what you have, at least your husband has a job, and you have two healthy kids. Be happy, and grateful! Take up a hobby. If I was you I would enjoy my moment of peace, until my husband came home.

Visit him on the job if you can. Take him a nice meal and get someone to keep the kids, surprise him.

Get a babysitter call up your girls and get out! No reason to sit around and resent him.
