A couple of things might contribute to the early demise of someone who suffers from an overabundance of hate:
Option number one: If a person's hatred causes stress to the person, it damages the body. Being consumed by hatred to the point where you are enraged, angered, or stressed a large part of the time is going to do damage to the heart and the internal organs. Ulcers are pretty common as well. There are chemicals released by the body at times of stress and rage that, over a long time, can damage. We all know how being overly stressed can cause physical illness. This is the same principle.
The more a person hates, if they are a true hater, the more they are GOING to hate, unless they manage to change. This is going to accelerate the process.
I like option number two. If someone practices enough active hatred in real life, sooner or later they are going to take enough *ss kickings that they are, well, not going to live as long as they would without it.
I doubt that most of our trolls, racists, and bigots are going to face this. I do not think that most of them are consumed by hatred enough to be stressed by it... this is just entertainment for them, like answering this question is for me. Now, I DO imagine, in my fevered little brain, that some of them make sucky lemon faces and pop a forehead vein when they go off. You can usually tell when they have done that.
I do not think they are going to fall under option number two: the shortened life expectancy due to having their skulls caved in. I do not think our trolls, racists, and bigots have the balls to say what they say in real life.
Again, I can fantasize though. :)

Relax, man. It is true, stress doesn shorten life. There are many outlets to release stress, from excercise, to voice lessons. Just petting a dog is said to relax a person, and reduce their anxiety. People who own dogs, also live longer, is there a connection to being a nurturing person, who takes cares of others and other things, a secret to a longer life, yes I believe so. There is so much negativity in the world, you listen to the news, and it's always about bad things, never good. I used to live anxiously, then I got ulcers, then I got irritable bowel syndrome. I lived in a stressful environment, and decided to change, for my benefit. I now live on a river, among trees and mountains. Am I anxious, no. Changing your life in positive ways lightens the load, living away from city and noise has been great! Worry is an idle mind, fill your day with positive actions, soon you will see your life in a different light. Good luck.

I would think so, to me it's like a form a stress almost and you know what stress can do to the body; can't be good for the heart literally or symbolically

Yeah .. I agree. Stress is bad for you... if you stick your neck out there often enough on controversial things.. people will resent you for it. You will always in a position to have to be defending yourself.. it would get stressful.
But if you are a jerk and don't care what the world thinks .. you will live forever. hmmmph.

Yeah, I think so too.
Because if you think about it, hate eats you alive.
And it takes over people's lives, similar to what you said.
And it's just a really bad thing to have.

Pessimists have been proven to have lower life expectancies in general, so I suppose yes.

Be it 'trolls'...or liberal academic elitists...negativity is what it is.
It is as basic as
INPUT=OUTPUT
So I would not be surprised if hateful people lived shorter, more miserable lives.
