It stinks really bad, it makes baby's poo stink really bady, and it is expensive, but yes, it does often work. It is not a WIC approved formula in missouri, but you can get it on WIC if you get a letter from your pedi.

I worked at a daycare and one of the little ones in my room was on it and mom said she couldnt tell the difference between it and the other formula she had her daughter on so for her no it didnt. I am in Illinois so I cant help you on the WIC part for Missouri but I know that it is not generally covered here you have to get a doctor to write it down on a prescription pad and then take it to WIC and they will give you the amount of money--not in cash--that they would give you the coupon for the regular formula. Also be prepared to have any clothes stained--and it not come out--that gets spit up on baby's and adult if you use nutramigen.

my son had colic and we tried the nutramigen but it didn't work the best formula we found was enfamila ar it is a thicker milk but it works good it is around 11.00 acan it only comes in the powder form and the ready to feed cans nutramigen is very expensive later on they found that my son had acid reflux if your baby spits up alot or arches his or her back have the baby checked for this and the doctor brown bottles work wonders if your walmart don't have them you can order them on line good luck
