Not sure of their reasons but I wouldnt want my daughter modeling either. She's a beautiful girl and is a total natural. She's been posing since she was a year, no picture looks the same, she's outgoing and could be a great model. The thing is I never want my kids to be in competition over their looks, not to mention the nasty attitude she'll develop. Too many take it to the extreme and lose sight that having the best smile or the perfect hips isnt everything or near everything. How about acting? That way you can still show your beauty, be in pictures but be judged more on talent than your body.

If you are completely sure that modeling is a career you want to pursue, sit down with your parents and explain to them that modeling is your dream and that it is what you want to do in your life. They need to know that you are very serious and are ready to devote the time and make sacrifices for modeling. It is essential because you will need your parents support to pursue this career. But you have to understand that modeling isn't all fun though the photo shoots and runway walking will be fun. But to model you have to have a lot of determination you will be rejected sometimes and you have to be able to bounce back. If your ready for that then go for it.

Make sure you are still getting good grades. Tell them that you will contact a few modeling agency and send them your pictures, but if you get rejected, you will follow their path and go to a good college, and so on...

I agree alongside with your mothers and dads. ask your self why do you elect to style?next, is it pleased with you to stay off on visual appeal with out working/giving to society? next, think of the sensation of while your older and once you cant supply for your self anymore because of the fact of modeling's superficial standards, and being replaced via a youthful technology based entirely on their seems. answer those nicely and proportion the reaction alongside with your mothers and dads. On a larger be conscious, remind your self which you would be partaking in underlining the standards of the renowned media's theory of attractiveness, that's probably to overwhelm many youthful ladies available who don't sense they meet those standards necessary to be 'appropriate'.

it's not all fun and games. it's hard work, and it's strenuous. show your parents that you're mature enough to not let it go to your head. you taking pictures is a LOT different from professional photography. and don't expect it to be a fairytale of sorts.

Get an education and when you're of legal age, you can try for any job you want. Till then, listen to your parents. They know more than you and want what's best for you.
