No bashing. ok, I use to be against homosexual marriage (for the only "valid" reason of "it's against God" and blah blah) but seeing what you guys have to say and how you feel about the subject has really changed my mind (i admit, i was stupid and wrong before). It should be all about love, not to mention if we're going to have separation of church and state, then separate the two! otherwise, there is no good reason to forbid gay marriage. it's not a mockery of marriage (hell, straight people have already done that).

I just wanted to let y'all know you've changed one person's opinion :) (and if you've changed one, no doubt you've changed countless others).

It does feel good, and other people have changed my beliefs, or at least educated me and let me know that I was seeing something from the wrong angle or believing media hype. It's happened here, too. It's good to, as my therapist says, "stay crunchy in milk" and not let yourself get pressured by the people around you, but it's also good to have some openness and a willingness to jettison things that don't work.

Oh honey, I'm so happy to hear that. :)

I wish more people would listen to reason... Especially considering the love in question is serious and committed love that is every bit as valid as the love between a man and a woman... I don't see how that is any kind of threat to any one else's marriage.

I would feel like a million bucks if I had anything to do with changing someones opinion. There's just no better feeling in the world knowing that someone listened to me.

Yay! I do feel a little better, however, I don't want to take credit. Changing one's beliefs comes from within. It was YOU, not US. Like the analogy goes, "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink". It was YOU who decided to really digest the information, we just simply showed it to you. Congrats to you for opening your mind a little!!! You get a gold star!!

Thanks, and I hope that everyone would change the way you did. Although the process of changing people's beliefs is a tricky one but seeing that there are people like you who became tolerant. You just made my day :-)

I feel sorry for you and all those trapped in a deviant lifestyle. Flag away.

P.S. You do not know beans about Church and State, but at least you are as confused as most Americans.
