No it's not horrible to feel sorry for him. He obviously had some huge inner demons that he was battling. Whatever he was going through in his mind must have been rough. It's ok to feel bad for him in that aspect. And his parents lost their child that day too.
But what he did was inexcuseable.
We should all pray for the families and friends who lost somebody.

Of course you should feel sadness for the gunman and his parents. I am not condoning what he did, but he obviously had mental problems. Many with mental problems don't think there's anything wrong with them so would absolutely shun help of any kind. The gunman was a young man who at one time probably had hopes and dreams, and his parents most likely wanted good things for their son. Somewhere, however, everything went wrong. No one should judge someone who is mentally ill. The whole event is sad and tragic on so many different levels.

I wonder... aren't we all stating his point here? I mean, if he would have killed himself quietly, would anyone have given him a thought? But by taking the lives of other as well, he got a lot of people thinking and talking about him. Why does this happen so often? Wouldn't it be better if there were no mention about who did the killing? Keep that as part of the police investigation but out of the news coverage? Even his classmates new nothing about him, now we've all met his parents! When there is violence in a stadium, the media have agreed not to air the event, so that others don't get encouraged to look for their 15 minutes of fame in that way.

i was reading some articles on him as well and saw it on the news in the morning.
his teacher advised him to see the counselor. he was taking medicine for his depression.
maybe something did happen to him before, maybe he did have this horrible past, but i dont think going around killing people would slove anything.
in some articles it said that he didnt try to reach out. he was a loner. the ones i read made him seem like this loner that didnt want to socialize with people. just this boy that was always in the back.
i guess the bottom line is that if he was soo depressed and wanted his life to be over, why couldnt he just go kill himself. AND ONLY HIMSELF. y did he have to kill a bunch of other people that had a life.
but there is the question of whether those 31 people he killed were random or they did do something to trigger him.

He was on SSRi's so I was not in the least suprised when i heard of it.
All of the gun-related massacres that have made headlines over the past decade were perpetrated by people who were on Prozac, Zoloft, Luvox, Paxil or a related antidepressant drug.
It is known to remove emotional context in many people. Were messing with brain chemistry here after all.
Watching the US news is like watching a local council ignore that a bad road is causing multiple fatalities.

His finished family members? don't be ignorant and stupid. extremely, perhaps you ought to lookup some stuff in this guy. And he wasn't arrested he killed himself so arresting his family members is the dumbest ingredient ever. they did no longer develop him to kill. p.c.. up a freaking e book. He replaced into of course disturbed (I did a lot of historical past analyze and that i examine 2 of his performs that are particularly aggravating...yet i will see how they could be considered innocuous via sick and twisted humor.) that's unhappy particular. yet purely this week I has a gun threat at my extreme college. human beings must be extra conscious of what is going on and that they should take issues extra heavily.

I don't think he was disturbed. I read his plays on the internet, the professor was criticizing him toooooooooooooo harshly and told him to go seek counseling.
I just think he was like Alfred Hitchcock, Stephen King, Kill Bill's director Tarantino, and also other....
I think he was so depressed because people don't understand him.
After reading his 2 plays, I think he was very TALENTED and GIFTED and unique
and not like the other students who are WANNABEs.
WASTE. I wish I tell him in person that his plays are bizarre and he should
be a writer or a screenwriter... but oh well, People had to put him down and
make him feel bad about himself. He met the wrong people and went to the
wrong school.

I see where you're coming from. But he should have gotten help if he felt that way.
I don't pity him, for the simple fact that he killed more than 30 innocent people. That's 30 families that will never be the same again.

YEAH I FEEL YOU. THERE IS ALOT OF HATERD AND ANGER TOWARDS HIM. BUT LOOK AT HIM. LOOK AT HIS PICTURE. YOU SEE SADDNESS IN HIS EYES. YOU SEE ANGER AND REVENGE IN HIS EYES.... IT SADDENS ME... AND I FEEL SO BAD FOR HIM AND EVERYONE ELSE... HE HAD IT ALL... HE WAS A SENIOR. HE ALMOST GRADUATED...AND HE RUINED IT...IT IS PARTIALLY HIS FAULT BUT ALSO SOCIETY. THATS WHAT SOCIETY MADE HIM.. AND THE CONSEQUENCES CAME, BUT ITS ALSO HIS FAULT. THIS IS MY BELIEF: YOU DON'T HAVE A CHOICE OF WHO YOUR BORN TO OR WHAT HAPPEN IN YOU PAST, BUT IT OS YOOUR CHOICE WHAT TO DO FROM THERE. IF HE HAD A BAD CHILDHOOD AND IT AFFECTED HIM HE COULD HAVE FIX IT. I'M NOT ANGRY AT HIM.. I FEEL SORROW.. 33 LIVES WASTED AWAY.... ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE HIM NOW
