Humans have taught gorillas to use sign language. And, there is a parrot that not only talks but understands what it is saying. Eventually, man will find a way to create super-animals that can talk and understand; hear and understand. And, maybe even one day it will be normal, common, and acceptable to marry and make love to animals. Freaky though, isn't it?

Talking is just a form of communication, so if you saying will animals be able to speak English then i say NO they never will. Humans in the next three or four hundred years most likely wont speak English. But if you asking will animals be able to communicate with human in a manner in which they are both able to understand then this has already happened. Chimpanzees and human have been communicating for years through sign language. And what do you think training a dog is.I hope that answers your question

talk as in having their own language like us? Possibly in the far future...another 200 million years. There r lots of creatures today that have use different calls and frequencies to communicate. Dolphins have a wide range of communication. Neanderthals did just that like dolphins...they had no voice boxes. If u r talking about talking like how we use language then yes another 200 million years perhaps. I'll put my bet on whales and apes.

Humans.
Most animals lack the vocal cords that humans have. Although, we are an egotistical species. There are languages that animals already speak.
Some mammal species have been taught sign language.
If a human can learn sign language and "talk", so too can a primate.

As long as there are humans with the capacity for spoken language, there will be an animal able to talk.
Like it or not, humans are mammals, and therefore animals.

Sure! There was one in the past, and one in the present. Humans.
Seriously, are you speaking of a vocalized language as complex as our own?
