when you're that size, water is different. For us, water is governed by gravity. For insects, it's governed by surface tension. Water is just a bunch of little balloons for them, or sometimes (when in a pond) one big balloon with a nice stretchy surface that you might (if you're that kind of insect) walk about on. When the balloons are falling from the sky, you avoid them, maybe hide under a leaf, but you're nimble so you can do that. Not really a problem.

Plus you breathe differently. You have no blood or lungs per se; you take in your oxygen right through your skin. Presumably that gives you different considerations vis-a-viz drowning.

because they are componants of ecosystems
eco systems do not get destroyed just because it rains .
insects , are light so they float to the top then when they get waterlogged ,sit in the sun and are right as rain in no time again

Because they know enough to get in out of the rain. They hide under leaves; in bushes; under tree bark; in your room- wherever they can that's dry- until the weather clears... :)
