Hi-
I have two corydoras catfish and a betta fish in a 10 gallon tank. Every time i feed them I drop a shrimp pellet and my betta would eat the whole thing without the cories even touching it. I also put some flake food on the surface of the water.Any Ideas on what I can do would be great. What should I do? Thanx

Try feeding them some frozen blood worms. Thaw a cube or small portion in some tank water and be sure they are all separated. Feed some flake food to distract the betta and pour the water and worms into the tank. Odds are that many of them will get to the bottom where the cats are. Those a a favorite of corys and they will greedily eat them.

I had the same problem... my other fish gets the food before my catfish does. I bought some sinking pellets... I would put the flakes on one side ( wherever the cories aren't ) to distract/feed the Betta, then put the sinking pellets on the other side ( where the cories are ) ... good luck :^ D

Cories need food too. feed the betta at one end of the tank leaving the rest of the tank to drop in the food for the cories.

Feed a sinking flake food at night.

Another option:
Bettas and corydoras both love baby snails. If you add three ram horn snail to your tank they will reproduce and the betta and the cats will eat forever!

Turn off the lights at night, wait a few minutes, then feed them. Bettas find food by sight, corys use those sensitive little wiskers to find food, they don't need light.

Get them bottom feeding fish granules or tablets from Pets at home. And when you drop them in use a net to keep the betts away from the food. Simple, really.

Also added to MM's answer, try doing this by using a turkey baster and target feed your cats. This way the betta cannot snatch up the food. I do this with starfish and annemone.
