I want to use both wirelessly. Will this slow my internet connection speed?

YES. I typically have one wired and 2 wireless connections on my router here. BUT they will also be sharing bandwidth.

If you do simultaneous downloading on those two laptops, they will both run at about half the speed of your connection (depending also on the server they are downloading from). One laptop will only get the full bandwidth when the other is idle.

Of course....just let your laptops use DHCP to pull an IP address. And make sure they have a wireless network card...or you can most likely plug them into the wireless router with an rj45 cable.

Look at the back of your router, it will have connections for 1 or more computers.

Absolutely! Both will be given their own internal IP address.
