Well, three pieces of advice:
1. Take a couple of study skills and writing courses
2. Study hard because anything less than excellent grades will really destroy your ability to get advanced degrees.
3. Don't major in Psyc. get a degree in Engineering with double major in Business so you will always be employed.

I wish someone would have sat with me and actually showed me a REAL bill for student loans. The counselors that I sat with gave examples, well those examples are no where close to my bill. As a mom of 2 who is married and trying to pay for a car, a house, the electric, heat, phone and food that student loan bill of $645.00 per month after consuldation really puts a damper on things!!!! My advice to anyone who can is to pay as much as you can and borrow the least amount possible. It will take me 25 years to pay for my college, and with a BA in psychology living in PA , the job market isn't the greatest.

Plan now and if possible work to pay for those things you can and also the interest on student loans that will make your future a little easier.

Good Luck!!!

Learn how to use Microsoft Excel before you get to college. If you don't know how to use Excel, take a class that teaches you how before you get shoved into Stats classes where the professor expects you to already know how to use it.
