rosi (below) If you read the responses, obviously many neo-cons thought and still thinks it was funny. The man almost died.

Didn't think was funny, but didn't think it was the End of the World, either.
Accidents happen. They suck, but they happen.

What is even funnier is how you democommies are screwing up your chance to hold the majority in the house and senate. You have had witch hunts and rumors of witch hunts, an increase in the minimum wage, whimpering and pleading for a retreat from Iraq (even an effort to bypass the constitution by having congress conduct foreign policy), a speaker gallivanting around the middle east for who knows what, passing non binding resolutions, and you are now working on a bill that will BE THE LARGEST TAX INCREASE IN US HISTORY. I don't know about you, but when i forget about the serious nature of these antics, I roll with laughter and wonder why some of you democommies don't try to become professional comedians.

Not sure what a "neo-con" is, actually,(it's a derogatory term in your frame of reference I think), but no, it's not funny when anyone shoots someone whether it was intentional or not...and the Cheney incident was not. Would "neo-libs" think it was funny if the incident involved a "lib"??

I didn't think it was funny. An accidental shooting like that is scary, and then the subsequent injuries and complications that man suffered were life threatening, not really what I call a source of amusement.

No one thought it was funny. What's wrong with you? I'm sure Vice President Cheney was heart broken that he injured his friend. There were no charges pressed because there was no crime. This is about the third time I've seen this same question in five minutes. Can't you all come up with something more interesting?

Uhm, it was an accident. The accident itself was not funny at all. In fact it made many remember their hunter's safety courses--enrollment in this area went up because it brought the issue of becoming "too familiar" and careless to light. What WAS funny-is the (waaaay over-reaching)LIBS trying to make it out to be more than it was. ..............

It was no big deal because it all worked out in the end,the man is fine,it was a simple accident. What was funny was the liberals reaction to it,you would think he shot them, then tried to cover it up.

I was horrified by it. Poor old guy (and I don't mean Cheney).
With any sport, accidents can happen. Usually with a shooting, law enforcement has to be called in immediately ... unless you can pull strings, like Cheney did.
Maybe it was a good thing Cheney got all those military exemptions after all.

I personally thought it was hilarious. The guy must have disagreed with cheney over something.
Cheney is the only person I know that can shoot someone, try to hide it, finally tell it, and end up getting away with it.
I want my one free shot.

In this case the victim was a lawyer. That's what made it funny.
