A square of 20inches doesn't have an 800 inch diagonal.

If the sides are 20 inches then

diagonal^2 = 20^2 + 20^2 = 800
diagonal = sqrt(800) = 28.284 inches

using pythagoras' theorem
a^2+b^2=c^2
20^2+20^2=x^2=800
x=800^1/2=28.28...
which is closer to 30 inches
