Recently, I've been doing tennis lessons...I hate them. I'm horrible at it, too. I really want to quit, but I've already quit other things before, and I don't want to dissapoint my parents. I also pretty much begged for them to sign me up, so that makes it a bit harder too. I'm also doing it with a friend, but she really likes it.

Some kids just aren't sport people, you should not take the lessons if you do not like them and are not going to get any use of them in the future. You should never worry about disappointing you're parents, their love and support are unconditional no matter what you excel at.

The first thing you need to do is figure some things out for yourself.

Why did you start taking the lessons? If it was just for your friend and you don't like tennis, you will need to decide if it is worth it.

How long have you been taking the lessons? Often the excitement of lessons wears off and it is work to keep practicing. But don't quit just because you are bored with it. Practice is never as much fun as competition.

Don't quit sports. They teach too many life lessons. Just be more cautious about the next thing you take on and do it for the right reasons.
