Yes, you need a passport now. The new 2007 rules for travel to the US require all persons to have a passport to enter the US - this even includes US citizens coming from Canada and Mexico. As a non-US citizen but from The Philippines, you will need a passport, but no visa if you are going as a tourist.

With your spelling??? Definitely.
American citizens do not need a passport, just a valid ID like a Driver's license. Puerto Rico is an overseas US territory.

there is various human beings making exciting of you by way of form you wrote Puerto Rico. in case you purely pick to bypass to u . s . no passport is critical. Americas isn't purely u . s ., this is something i think of the morons making exciting of you do no longer understand. I you pick to bypass to the different united states in u.s. as nicely u . s ., you will pick a passport. You get those in some places of work around the Island. i'm not sure if the post place of work enables you out in PR, yet once I have been you, i'm going to aim there first. If in PR you could no longer do it interior the PO, bypass to old San Juan next to Plaza de Armas interior the dep. of State (Departamento de Estado) they use to do the passports there as nicely. And particular, you should be a u . s . Citizen to get a u . s . passport. Have evidence as nicely.

If you are a US Citizen or a green card holder then you won't need it because Puerto Rico is a US territory which means that you're still in the US.

If you are a US citizen or permanent resident coming from the USA, no. Otherwise, yes.
Remember P.R. is a commonwealth or territory of the U.S.A. so the same rules for entry into the USA from another country apply to entry into Puerto Rico.
