My husband and I are so glad we moved and we love it out west.

But I have noticed that I have been in mourning of leaving everything behind that was near and dear to me and also familiar?

I am not eating as much as I used to, I sometimes am tearful and cry, I sleep good. I spend a lot of time on the internet and writing e-mails and e-cards to people. I also write letters to others has well.

How long does it take to totally adjust to a new environment?
Are the behaviors I mention typical when you relocate to another state?

I'm sorry sweetie, but it's normal. :( I say give it at least a year. I'm going through what you're going through as we speak. I don't cry, but I'm often sad. I've eaten a lot of Ben & Jerry's ice cream though! ( ^ _ ^ ) Take care and good luck. Smooches.

It's normal. I have been in Florida a little less than a year and even though I am near the ocean, I miss Atlanta, Ga...Don't know why? There is much less traffic here and the people are a lot nicer. Give it some time. Invite your friends and family to your new home. Avoid comparing your new home to the old place you left. It will just make things worse. Try to have a good attitude about the new state..You'll adjust. All the best to you.

Wow...bless your hearts. i'm a single mom in a concern no longer as dire as yours yet I even have been gaining knowledge of (i'm a grantwriter and researcher by using commerce) the suitable states to visit to this point as financial equipment is in touch. Kentucky has an quite less costly of living and Tennessee isn't too far off. My difficulty grow to be no longer having everywhere to visit with as little money as I even have. a youthful female who's a single mom reported she reported as a church in Tennessee, a Nazarene Church, and that they moved her down there and helped her get lower back on her ft lower back. e mail me in case you elect for extra information. yet, i think of a church down south may be a sturdy theory. Up north the value of living is worse as properly as most of the midwest states. I stay in Indiana and the financial equipment is terrible right here and that i've got lost pretty much each little thing. What does your husband do for a living? am i able to show you a thank you to out with a resume? Please write in case you may. I hate to work out you all pass to a guard. God bless.

Its normal homesickness. It will go away. Just know you can go back and visit anytime. I moved to san diego ca from ny and was homesick for a while until after 5 or ten visits I knew the east was still there and wasnt going anywhere.
But I moved back here to NY anyway because I lost my job in san diego. But still you get what I mean.

I suppose the popular advice would be for you to try to get involved with the people there. I do know however that's easier said than done. Hope you will be feeling better about this soon it's not easy.
