not to everyone, jehovah's witnesses get offended by it and if you sneeze around them, they won't say bless you. I was told that saying it supposedly wards off evil spirits or something and they don't believe in that. some people are touchy when you feel that you're just being polite.

Half the time...I heard that if you say it before they sneeze, the sneeze just goes away.
