You want to focus on somthing that will keep the attention of student and teacher. You also want to shft some opinions to make it effective. Therefore, make it affect everyone in the room--somthing they care about or you can make them care about.

Choose a contraversy in the school. Teachers dig that big time.
Should we have school uniforms?
Should people come to sports games more often?
Is the third page on the report card all that effective?
Do we REALLY have to go outside for recess?
Should school start at 11:00 am and end at 6:00 pm (instead of 9 to 4 or 8 to 3 or whatever you have!)?

People also love contreversy about how to raise kids
Are marks too overrated?
Do parents hold off sex talks for too long?
Should parents discipline their kids?

Don't forget about things people see, and question, everyday!

Are advertisments exploiting women?
Is MSN as evil as adults think?
Do your music choices effect your personality?
Is having a cleaner room truely better?

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!! <33

I did a speach in my Senior Communications class on Persuading people to happy & optimistic.

It was a hit, my teacher now uses it as examples for her other classes & I've used it for other projects.

Creativity & Solid information is the way to go.

I did a persuasive speech saying that watching violent TV causes kids to become more violent. There is alot of research that has been done on the subject, so it is very easy to write a speech about it.
