ummm kinda agree.... i think for an engagement ring or very special occasion buying a reaonably priced diamond is fine..... but if it is for fashion there are sooo many other options that are just as good if not better..... like austrailian crystal and lab created diamonds.... also cubic zirconias are cool... as long as they are of good quality.... but i feel what you are saying
by the way..... a lab created diamond is the same thing as a real diamond... it was just created in a lab with science rather than nature.... the difference is in weight and is not enough for the naked eye or hand to recognize.... you can get a 'real' diamond of lessor quality than a 'fake' and some jewers can't even tell the difference....... so please use tacky carefully

I disagree. Usually diamonds actually mean something... like if your significant other is prepared to spend that kind of money on you, it's very special.
Fake diamonds you can usually tell they're fake. That's just tacky. The settings are bad and they don't sparkle the same.
I'm sure you'd appreciate it more if someone spend hundreds on a beautiful pair of diamond earrings for you than buying a Wal-Mart knockoff.

So it's not really diamonds that you like, it's clear sparkly things. If you loooved diamonds, you'd shell out the cash to buy real ones.

true and diamonds kinda get boring after a while tho...(no offense) but i prefer deep rich gems like emeralds (my fave and birthstone) sapphires, opals, rubies. etc. i would not waste TONS of money on a real item either when there is probably a replica out tehre. after all, who is seriously rude enuff to point out that its fake? and if u get a good quality replica, noone will ever notice...

I don't believe in purchasing diamonds since there's a chance someone died for those shiny useless rocks
