I am Israeli. My fiancee is American. We want to have a Conservative wedding at her shul in the U.S., followed by some sort of meaningful ceremony with my family and friends in Israel (as opposed to just a reception). What are our options? Is there anything that the ceremony in Minnesota must include for the Rabbinate in Israel to consider it a valid Jewish wedding?

On a side note, is there any limitation to getting married on Ta'anit Bechorot?

The Israeli government recognizes any wedding preformed overseas and certified by the government of that nation.

So in short yes a Conservative wedding would be recognized in Israel.

And I imagine you can have another ceremony In Israel if you wish.

As for Ta'anit Bechorot I am not sure.
