Pop is new and very fun. I've stayed there twice now and will be going back this FRIDAY!!! i've also stayed at the caarribean beach and it is very nice, but i prefer the Pop over it. I haven't been tothe Port Orleans in years but It was nice when I was there a long time ago. I prefer the pop over all of the other resorts, It has three pools easy bus system and is new and fresh! They have a great food court and nice gift shop. They have great art work and cool things from the years gone bye that are so neat to look at, but either way you really can't go wrong with Disney resorts!
Have fuN!

Pop Century rooms are similar to a Holiday Inn. The rooms are cheaper, more families with children stay here.
Carribean Beach and Port Orleans resorts are both moderate resorts. Port Orleans Riverside is geared more toward families, French Quarter is smaller and I have seen more couples or adults there. I have heard good things and bad about Carribean Beach. Coronado Springs is also a moderate resort which is very nice also.

I'm going to Disney World soon and I will be staying at the Port Orleans Riverside. I've heard many people said that Riverside is one of the best Moderate hotels among those four. I heard Caribbean Beach is fun to stay but it's the oldest hotel and the rooms seem kinda old. And for the Pop Century, it's the value resort (the cheapest choice), which means if you can afford a little bit more money, I would suggest you to consider the Moderate hotels instead of "value" only. Trust me, a little bit more money will worth the better stay for the whole trip. Have fun!!!!

I would say this, do you plan on spending your vacation in a hotel room?
If not then why waste the money. As far as the old rooms thing I just read, all the rooms at every resort are updated. I love the Pop Century Resort, however if I was planning a vacation based on swimming I would stay at Port Orleans. The food courts are great but I personally am a room service person, I like to have breakfast brought to the room......
If you don't like or need those things then I would say Pop Century as it is more "kid friendly" and bring snacks to keep in room for after food court hours.
The only other thing is if you are using Disney transportation it is a little sluggish and crowed at the Pop and All Star Resorts......
If you don't mind and just want to have a blast and spend more money on in park items then Pop Century is the way to go.....

First of all, Pop Century is part of the Value Resorts. They have huge icons portraying different things such as Playdoh, a Bigwheel, etc. They have been known to have a LOT of children in each of the values. The pools do not have a slide, not sure if that is a factor, and they only have food courts..no sitdown restaurants. I personally have never stayed in any of these, but I have heard from numerous of others that they tend to be much louder than the other resorts.
Port Orleans French Quarters, Riverside, and Carribean Beach Resort are part of the Moderate Resorts. They are more serene and calmer than the values. There are sitdown restaurants at the Riverside and at Carribean, and they all have food courts. These pools do have slides to them. I have stayed at the French Quarter and am staying at Riverside this summer, have never stayed at Carribean Beach. Both French Quarters and Riverside have a ferry that takes you to Downtown Disney and they have carriage rides that go between the resorts. The two are sister resorts therefore, they share each other's amenities. For example, if you are staying at Riverside and want to use French Quarter's pool, you can do so.
Eventhough, I personally have not stayed at Carriabean Beach Resort, my brother and his fiance have and they loved it. They have a bus that can take you to your building if you are too tired to walk after the parks. My suggestion to you is to check out each of these resorts on line, try allearsnet.com, they have detailed pictures and a description of each of the resorts. Have fun trying to decide.

My husband and I are staying at the Carribean resort this september. We choose it because they have the largest rooms out of all the moderate resorts. I used www.allearsnet.com to look up pictures of the resorts and rooms on it to make my decision.

I liked Fort Wilderness Lodge. The food is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. I can not tell you much about the other places.
There is one thing: All rooms in DW are the same size regardless of where you stay or the price you pay.
