the first one is really (3x-6)(3x-6) if you want to use the foil method, multiply (3x)(3x) = 9x^2, then (3x)(-6) = -18x, then (-6)(3x) = -18x, and last (-6)(-6) = 36

if you want to use this horizontal method

3x-6
3x-6
-------
-18x -36
9x^2 -18x

then you add all these up and you have the answer

you do the same thing for the second one also
