I am a Thirteen Year old girl .You see , My mom doesn't want to get me a phone for some reason. Plus , I really want a phone. I've begged, bribed, and even threatened ( not badly). But she just won't get me one. So I have decided to pay for my own service and my Own phone . The phone cost $209.00 (plus tax) and the service is $50.00 monthly (metropcs).
How can I make Big money fast and then keep it coming later?

You can't get that phone unless you get your mom or dad to sign for it. So if neither will do that forget about it.

Your other option in that case is a prepaid phone.

Making BIG money fast at age 13... I think they're all illegal and bad for you. You can however make money by babysitting, but try to calculate how many hours a week you have to have to cover your phone bill. Is it worth babysitting for an hour just to pay for 5 minutes on your phone?

everyone likes a hott 13 year old, go work the corner. but id recommend getting a pay as you go phone. most of the major carriers offer it. you wont be locked into a contract if you find out you cant afford it. $50/month is a lot for an individual plan. I personally have Virgin mobile and it costs me about $20/month. I know how you 13 year olds are when it comes to talking for hours upon hours about nothing. Most plans require you to be 18, or have your parents sign the contract too. if you go over your minutes you will get charged up the wazoo. then if you cant afford it they charge you a cancellation fee too. plus you dont want to ruin your redit at 13, it will make the rest of your life horrible.

well you cant get a phone at 13 with out your parent, if you want a monthly service. becouse you have to sign a contract in order to activate the phone. and you have to be 18 to sign a contract. the only thing you could to is buy a track phone which runns on calling cards. as for working you can't do much but baby sit since you can't get a job. but word to the wise. listen to your mother. she will get you one when she feels you are ready for one. and if you save all the money and she still says no and you buy one anyways. she will most likely take it away from you. then you have no $ no phone and your in big trouble. so is it really worth it? your mother really does know best. i for one don't think a 13 year old should have a phone in the first place. you can't work and you shouldn't want to you have your whole life to work and get a cell ophone. go play outside like normal kid.

At 13, you wil probably have to do odd jobs for money. Try babysitting, running errands, take out the trash or do other odd jobs for elderly neighbors. You local Red Cross should offer free or low cost classes for you that teach you CPR anbd other things to help you become a better babysitter, at the end of training they will give you a certificate proving that you have completed all necessary requirements and most parents will feel a lot safer with you as a babysitter than someone who has no training.

Actually I don't think you need a phone. My son is 16 and my daughter 14 and they do just fine without one. Yes, they bug me that they also want one, but honestly, if your not old enough to get a real job and pay for it yourself then maybe your to young to have one. Like I tell my kids, you see your friends in school, there's nothing that can't wait until you see them again (which is usually the next day at school). Anyways, don't be in such a rush for responsibility, it will be here be for you know it. Also, at least wait til you 16, get a work permit from school, get a part-time job and then show your mom how responsible you are and by then she may have a change of heart.
Good Luck..............

That sounds very expensive! Can't you get a cheaper phone, or a pay-as-you-go kind of phone?

You don't need the headache and responsibility of paying a bill like that every month.

But, the best and easiest way to earn extra money would probably be babysitting. It's a good way to learn responsibility, too.

persuading your mothers and dads... i'm no longer likely to the touch that one with an 80 foot pole Your underage, do no longer assume maximum jobs to pay $10 an hour, you're fortunate you got paid that plenty from a pal, in spite of the undeniable fact that it ain't gonna take place plenty someplace else. Print up fliers, bypass around the community and announce you're searching for backyard artwork, no rely if this is raking leaves, shoveling snow, infant sitting in spite of. the toughest area of a job, is getting the activity, the 2d toughest is holding it (you maintain it via doing reliable artwork and being consistent). Jobs do no longer fall into your lap and you will no longer relatively get employed at a authentic activity, so which you are going to could do the legwork to get atypical jobs around the community.

Maybe your mom doesnt want to get you a phone cuz she cant afford it! Maybe you could get a babysitting job to earn enuff to go halves with your mom...then she would see that you are ready for some responsibility and will be willing to help you out. Also, you should look into a company that offers unlimited calls and text for a flat rate...Do you have cricket in your city? Thats what I got for my 13 yr old daughter! Good luck!!!
